Every year our chapter chooses a service project to work on as a group. Below is the information on current and previous service projects. We have always had a wonderful experience serving those in our community who are in need. If you are interested in participating, please contact our chapter's AVP.

Service Project 2012
This year, our mom's put their hearts into a special project for children in need. Our wonderful Mom's gave their time, experience, and money in order to put together care packages for children going into temporary home placements with the Children's Youth & Family Services Department. Toothbrushes, clothes, and homemade blankets were just some of the items in the care packages. We used club funds obtained from fundraisers in addition to MOMS Club® members donations of time and money to make this project a success.

Previous Service Projects

Storehouse West in Rio Rancho, NM
A family was adopted through Storehouse West for our Service Project.  Our members can donate as much as they would like and then we will use our fund-raising money to complete the items our family needs and wants over the holidays. Storehouse West is a non-profit tax-exempt volunteer-staffed corporation that is community-supported.

Project Backpack/ Maggie Cordova Elementary
We chose to support Project Backpack, which helps provide kids with a special backpack for healthy non-perishable snacks for the weekend. We used club funds obtained from fundraisers in addition to MOMS Club® members donations to make this project a success.

Ronald McDonald House in Albuquerque, NM
Ronald McDonald House charities provides a place for families to stay while their child is being cared for at an Albuquerque medical facility. MOMS Club® of Rio Rancho South members donated their time and food to the families staying at the Ronald McDonald House. We had several moms that came out to help cook two times for the families. We had a great time helping one another for the benefit of others.
